Pupil Premium 2016-2017

Each year the government gives an additional amount of money to schools, Pupil Premium, according to certain “deprivation” criteria. This money is intended to support these children in activities that will enhance their learning. At Woodlands we use this money in a variety of ways depending on the individual needs of each child.

This year we intend to use the money received for the following:

Support for payment towards Residential visits

Support to pay for access to breakfast club

ETA staffing to enable small group work

Pastoral care-sand tray/play therapy,  and 1:1 emotion well-being support

We will continue to provide as many extra-curricular activities as we can and support payment to access these, to broaden the curriculum and give a wide range of experiences to all pupils

Playtime equipment

Intervention- Letters and Sounds, Numicon, Target readers, Accelerated Reader Programme resources
